Deskripsi Pekerjaan

This is a newly created role to support our Indonesia Belawan New Container Terminal (BNCT), you will be reporting to General Manager, BNCT and based in Belawan Medan. In the role of Senior Manager – Finance, you play a key leadership role in overseeing the financial, accounting, and legal functions for BNCT. You will be a pivotal figure in liaising with local tax authorities and financial institutions. This position requires a blend of financial expertise, legal and commercial acumen.

You will be responsible to implement and oversee the end-to-end finance/accounting operations and driving financial performance through robust reporting and analysis, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. You are instrumental in driving financial stability, growth, and compliance. You will be a strategic finance business partner to senior leadership, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the regional/global finance team to prepare accurate, timely and reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports required by management and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, internal controls, and processes in accordance with relevant accounting standards, legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasting and statutory and internal audits; and tax reporting and compliance.
  • Lead and manage the month end process including preparation and/or review of journal entries, working papers and spreadsheets to support reconciliations in accordance with guidelines.
  • Develop business models, as necessary, to assist with strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to the executive team, and lead and participate in meetings as required.
  • Provide leadership and create a rewarding team-based culture, including mentorship and development of staff.
  • Positively drive agreed initiatives, propose new initiatives, and adopt a sense of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of statutory and other reporting requirements from the Region and Head Offices.
  • Manage and Involve in the annual internal/external audit process with external auditors and Region/Head Office.
  • Manage a small team and develop staff to ensure competency and appropriate succession within the Finance/accounting team.
  • Oversee the legal, tax compliance, including GST, VAT and corporate tax regulation in Indonesia.
  • Assist with the implementation of Oracle Financials in the Region/Head Offices.
  • Support the setup of new business operations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with 10 to 15 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of financial accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Accounts Finalizations, MIS Reporting, Tax Compliance and Accounts supervision.
  • Proven leadership skills to develop and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external team members/stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work with all departments and levels.
  • Sound judgement and analytical thinking that enables decision making, ability to manage projects and prioritize and manage timelines.
  • Driven, analytical, hands-on, and detailed-oriented.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
